Ronnie Rhodes

Ronnie provided high level railroad labor negotiations for 25 years. In 2024 he retired from Union Pacific Railroad and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen. He is now taking that lifetime of experience and applying it to provide top level arbitration, mediation and alternative dispute resolution services.

Transforming Conflict into Collaboration

Ronnie arbitrated almost 500 cases in his 14 years as a General Chairman and 160 cases over 11 years as Vice General Chairman.

"I have nearly five decades of experience in the rail industry. I spent about half of that time operating locomotives across the Union Pacific Railroad Central Region. The other half I spent as a BLET Union Representative: serving as local chairman for 8 years, BLET Vice General Chairman for 10 years, and BLET General Chairman for the Union Pacific Railroad Central Region for 14 years.I understand railroad operations and, more importantly, railroad jargon. I am familiar with terms like "bottling the air," "split switch," "run-through switch," "restricted speed," "entering and operating in CTC territory," and "operating in TWC territory," etc. I believe my experience will help me make the correct decisions regarding discipline cases.I have also written and interpreted agreements for more than 24 years. I understand contract language and will rule accordingly."
